Hong Kong cafes are sprouting up everywhere. I stumbled upon this restaurant in a busy plaza in Main St Markham. There was a short 5 minute wait for a table. There's a happy hour menu at 2pm with nice selection of snacks, sandwiches, noodle soup, etc. We ordered the baked Portuguese chicken rice and special crispy fried chicken leg with egg on rice. The food was prepared fresh and decent portions. The food was delicious and will now be added to my rotation list of HK cafes. The restaurant has nice ambiance and they also serve beer here big bonus. I will definitely come back to try the happ

My wife and I were adventurous today. We went to Matsuya at the Garden Basket Plaza (Markham Rd & 16th Ave., Markham). We got the Bento Box Lunch Special served between 11am to 3pm. I had the Teriyaki Chicken and my wife got the Lemon Grass Pork Chops. It comes with a mug of soup, HK Tea or coffee or Soya bean milk, and regular Chinese tea. All for 15.99. It was very tasty... The portions were decent size. ChaChaanTang is my go to, this spot never fails to satisfy my cravings😋This Signature Pork Chop Rice with Cheese is hands down one of the BEST, it’s got tender Pork Chops with Tomato Sauce topped with Cheese then baked to perfection, served on a bed of Egg Fried Rice, the BOMB! Hai Nam Chicken is very good too, delicious Chicken paired with Chicken Oil Rice and Scallion Oil, who would say no to this?

We had a pleasant experience overall and the staff were polite. However, we waited 45 minutes for a baked pork chop rice, even after following up twice. While the service attitude was fine, the wait time for such a simple dish was quite disappointing and affected our overall experience.
