The Pirate Bowl experience at The Captain’s Boil is fun, messy, and very hands-on, with seafood served in bold, flavourful sauces that you eat with your hands. They provide bibs, gloves, and tools like scissors to help with cracking and eating the seafood. It’s a casual, lively experience that’s great for groups and focused more on enjoyment and flavour than formality. My family really enjoys it, and we would definitely go again.

One of the worst meals we've ever had. We ordered 1lb snow crabs with extra sauce. When we opened the bag it was clearly off. A quick weigh in showed 0.4lb crab and 0.6lb potatoes! The Cajun sauce was burnt and tasted stale and starchy the potatoes were underdone and inedible. After frequenting Captains Boil for many years, this will be our last visit. Absolute scam.

We ordered a shrimp and mussel combo with potatoes on the side, and it was extremely disappointing. There were only 6 shrimp, which were overcooked to the point of being dry and pasty, and just 6 mussels. The bag looked full at first glance, but that was mainly due to an excessive amount of potatoes used to bulk it up. For $81, this felt like a complete rip-off. Definitely not worth the price

RECOMMEND! We had a great dinner there. Food is good, stuff is friendly, environment is nice too. Just not eat fast enough, food gets cold and not as good as still warm.
