After reading so many great reviews of the NewMarket location, I had to try it. The customer service is fantastic & the place is very clean. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap which is wrapped in their homemade saj pita and it was very good. I’ve never had that style of wrap so it was different but they were generous with portions, only had half and was stuffed! The fries are amazing, you don’t even need any sauce on them. I got the chicken shawarma wrap for $14.99; I usually go for shawarma bowls, but the wraps here looked so good! It was also loaded very generously. The flatbread is saj, a traditional middle-eastern flatbread crafted by hand. I don’t know much about these wraps, but the texture is different than the one I’ve had at Tahini’s. This is more crispy. The flavour of the chicken is also different, maybe that’s the Palestinian style — I wouldn’t know. My first time here and certainly not my last. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and it was amazing. The bread that is made in house was so good and it did not get soggy held everything together so nicely. The portions of chicken was really good and the variety of veggies was incredible. They had options of other Palestinian food I can't wait to try next time. The staff is very friendly and professional. It is safe to say I found my new shawarma place :)
