Bistro Le Sam is located on the lobby level of the Chateau Frontenac. It offers beautiful views of the river and a decent selection of food and drink. The prices are high but that’s kind of a given considering its location. We were staying at the hotel so we visited a few times and had great service each time. The bar makes delicious margaritas.

I cannot express my joy in my experience. From the moment we checked in, the hostess was inviting, and asking us about how trip and our experience in the city so far. Our waiter was prompt, present, and continuously asking us if we needed anything. My "Garden Mule" was very ginger-spicy, but delicious. My partner enjoyed her flank steak. I cannot put into words the elation upon eating my pork ribs. Succulent, fall off the bone, flavorful, and extraordinary do not scratch the surface. We were staying at the hotel and figured we’d try the bistro so we can have a quick dinner. Bistro Le Sam has a nice vibe but the braised short ribs is not up to par and I definitely do not recommend this dish. On this night both my friend and I ordered this dish and when the first round came out, they were both dry and not tender at all. We alerted one of the servers and they brought out a second round - same issue. Which I am not surprised at as in a restaurant setting they would be batched braised. Came for a late lunch and was able to get seated at the counter bar which is actually what we prefer. Lovely bar decor with a good selection of drinks. The charcuterie board was tasty and well worth it. Portion is actually enough to share between 2-3 people. Was told all the ingredients on the board are sourced locally. Well worth a visit especially if you can get a table on the balcony as the view is astounding.
