I stumbled upon this place for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is bright, modern, and very clean with plenty of seating. Basil Garden is a very affordable spot. I ordered the chicken rice plate ($13.50) and the iced Vietnamese coffee ($5.50). The rice plate was quite satisfying. *Special note that the chicken is fried whereas I usually prefer grilled but it was still delicious. Been wanting to try this place for a while as its right by school. The pho noodles were great but the broth was really bland and needed flavour... idk how/why this had such a weird flavour profile. Huge chunk of radish (why?????!?) that just didn't belong there. Salad rolls were fresh but were *just* lettuce, bean sprouts and shrimp and literally fell apart in the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, for the same/similar items at the next-nearest pho place is 5 dollars less and actually a lot better flavour and quality. I suspect their bún is likely better than their pho from this experience

Basil Garden is a cute Vietnamese restaurant. Food was good, not super memorable but it was okay. The service was a bit slow and servers weren't very attentive even though there were only three other tables being served. We had to remind the servers for our drinks and for eating utensils on multiple occasions. Other than that, everything else was fine.
