Such a gem of a place, the bright positive energy from everyone at Anny's was a great start to the day! Although it is a neat small poutinery, I felt very at home and cozy at Anny's. Onto the Poutine itself, and the Montreal Smoke Meat - put me right back in 2008 when I had my first poutine. The flavor was nostalgic, the fries were crunchy, the curd was squeaky, and the gravy was not too salty, not too thick, just perfect. The Smoke Meat was just great. Being from Toronto, I’m used to being spoiled with easy trips to Montreal for great poutine. Now that I’m in Vancouver, those cravings hit every now and then, and finding Anny’s really brought me back. The poutine is loaded with cheese curds, rich gravy, and full of flavor. It genuinely reminded me of the kind you’d get in Montreal.
