I recently visited Bitter Sweet, and overall it was a pleasant experience. Being located inside the Grand Egyptian Museum already makes it a unique place to dine, especially after spending time exploring such an incredible cultural landmark. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and it felt like a nice break during the museum visit. I ordered the steak and a pasta dish, and both were quite good. The steak was well cooked, flavorful, and satisfying, while the pasta was also nicely prepared and enjoyable. The drinks were okay—nothing particularly memorable, but they did the job and complemented the meal. The setting is definitely one of the highlights. Sitting and having a meal in a restaurant inside the Grand Egyptian Museum adds something special to the experience, making it feel more memorable than a regular restaurant visit. In terms of pricing, the menu is generally fair considering the location, but some items felt slightly overpriced compared to the portion sizes. Still,

Busy, but really good food, especially for a museum! The prices are ok, again, especially for inside a museum! LOL They have an eclectic menu with lots of international favorites. We left incredibly FULL! We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but the service is worth the wait. Very nice! If we come back to the museum, we are stopping in again! The Nutella Marshmallows Pizza was DIVINE!!

Wow wow! Simply cannot believe in the museum there is a restaurant with such good food and also very reasonably priced. We got the slow cooked beef ragu pasta and truffle mushroom pizza and both were cooked to perfection! We left feeling very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to other visitors. Note that service fee is 12% and VAT is not included, only thing that can improved would be to more explicitly state this information on the menu.

The portions are big, we both had two starters each and we almost couldnt finish them. The price was good. The waiter could give me information on one meal which was gluten free: The chicken with potatoe and vegetable with no sauce. I decided against it and took the next best gluten free looking food. The loaded potatoes were very good but the fries have been very soft not crispy at all. My friend got the quesadilas and thought they were ok. The service was good and fast. The place has alot of tourists but thats what you expect, we had to share a table with strangers but that was no problem. All in all you get what you expect :)

Food is of fantastic quality, though the menu is mostly Western so do not expect to try out local cuisine here. The mushroom soup with rosemary was unforgettable. Service is rated lower as we had to request three different servers for an extra fork before one was given to us, strange because they did not seem to be particularly busy.

We had a great time at Bittersweet in GEM. The food was tasty, especially the katsu prawns. I thought my matcha latte was very good! Everything came beautifully presented, and we polished it all off also. The prices were aligned with typical high street brunch prices in London. The star of our experience had to be one of the workers - Sedhom! He was extremely interesting to talk to (he gave us lots of advice about Cairo, and many other things we asked about). Sedhom, if you read this, you’re a STAR. Loved talking to you - you should write a book!
