Insanely good dinner tonight in Albi. Michelin-rated restaurant, Amapola. Good grief Michelin, it deserves ONE STAR minimum!!!! Adventurous, creative, fusion food from a wife and husband team. WOW, we were blown away. I can definite see myself traveling here every three months for their new menu. We had half of it today, coming back Friday for the other half. Amapola means poppy. And they had us hooked when they welcomed us into their intimate 18 seat restaurant for dinner with Motown music, James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone. The three of us ordered 8 of the 11 tapas type of dishes. The watermelon with tapenade, feta and gazpacho was a real hit, as was the gnocchi, the polpo tacos and the crispy focaccia.
