We visited this restaurant/bar four times during our stay in Béziers. There is a very reasonably priced 3 course lunchtime set menu for just under 20 Euros. We had an interesting starter of poached eggs in a red wine sauce with lardons, a delicious squid stew with potatoes and a chocolate and praline mousse. We also went à la carte on a Sunday and chose from the suggestions of the day - really lovely melon and Serrano ham, cod on a bed of risotto with a chorizo cream and a delicious crème brûlée. All in one. 🥰 They offer a big veriety of local wine even at the high en quality. 🍷🍷🙏 We tested a bottle of Bergerie l'Hortus, Pic Saint Loup. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Generous opening hours and actually they don't close in the middle of the day. 🥰 They have nice outdoor seating s typical French style, fronting the square. 👍

March 2026 Very friendly owner and waiter, I was allowed lunch after 2 p.m. Some dishes from the lunch menu were sold out (understandably so), I had what I think was mignon the porc or so. It came fast and the meat was very nice, the moutarde sauce was a bit watery but tasty and the french fries (as most of the time in F) ok. I did not really understand why the fries were put on the table in the frying net without at least a small plate underneath. I had a carafe d'eau and as I did not get any bread, I did not order any rosé. Nice atmosphere on the terrasse with view on to the place Jean Jaur
