Excellent food and service, so much so we went 2 nights in a row during our 3 night stay in Bayeux (yes we did drive out of our way just to come here not once but twice.. in fact we didn’t go our first night only because we were unable to get a table). The whole team was very friendly and accommodating to our group of 3 English-speaking tourists. Though the restaurant can get loud, it is lively and cozy! Our first night we ordered the prix fixe menu of €35 with entrée, main and dessert, and we were already full from our appetizers! The second night we tried the 2-3 person shareable prime rib

The staff are very nice. When I visited, they explained to me they were serving in 2 rounds, 7PM and 9PM. So if you want to try your luck and walk in, better come either at 7PM or 9PM. I had the beef tartare and Tripe à la mode. Both are very good. Tripe à la mode is a special dish in Caen. I was too excited to taste so half is eaten before I took the photo.

Food was excellent, service took 50 minutes to take our order in a 2 hour sitting, and when the waiter came to take the order he was accosted by the table next to us so they could order; unprofessional and rude. When asked if we’d like dessert, most said yes, then we were reminded that we had 15 minutes to eat and leave due to the table being booked for the next sitting. If you’re so full you should make sure the service is on point, sadly it was not. Food was excellent, but let down by the experience.
