Was walking around town looking for lunch when we found this place. The owner was very friendly as well as the young lady that waited on us. For lunch I had a Burger with an order of Truffade as my side. They say that Clermont-Ferrand is the city to come to for Truffade, then this is the restaurant to come to. The burger was cooked to perfection and the Truffade simply amazing.

Unusual experience. We arrived 1 adult, 2 children at 1pm and asked for a table. Staff said they needed to check with the chef, did so then walked to a table without notifying us. Ordered a light lunch after less than 1 minute with the menu. Others who arrived after us received bread and time to think. Baguette menu item arrived with one cornichon! Chef appeared and smoked a cigarette. Food was nice other than appearing very rushed. We may be too obviously tourists to achieve pleasant service!

We ordered the truffade (kids menu), the pavé de bœuf, the croque cantal, and the Greek salad. Everything was very tasty. I especially loved the Greek salad, I have rarely tasted such a refreshing, well done, and easy-to-eat Greek salad. Thank you very much!
