Such a warm welcome! Very friendly place with a diverse menu for both seafood and meat. The seabass( bar) was excellent and the lamb shank fall off the bone delicious. We also tried oysters for the first time- and thanks to the kindness of the staff, they explained how to eat them- and we definitely enjoyed them- they were so fresh- definitely worth a visit.

La Rochelle is jam packed with restaurants, so actually deciding where to eat is tricky to start with. My wife selected this as the highest trip advisor restaurant that wasn't off the scale expensive (No. 4 of approx 450!). Most of the dining is on the first floor (2nd floor for Americans!) which meant the single waiter spent the night running up and down stairs. This inevitably slowed service down a bit, but he was never out of breath, was very friendly and spoke either French or English. Our was excellent. Beautifully presented and very tasty. The restaurant itself isn't particularly pretty,

3,5 Stars. We chose this restaurant for our one night stay in La Rochelle because of the good ratings on TripAdvisor and google. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The food looked really good but unfortunately the taste wasn’t as good. Positive + good service and cozy location + starter: very good Dorade ceviche Negative - Steak: was dry and not medium cooked as ordered.
