So, you won't have a view of the port, and you won't be in the historic district of La Rochelle, but Le Moly is worth venturing a little off the beaten tourist track. The place is lovely, especially the small patio, with its industrial feel and refined cuisine that's as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. The prices are very reasonable, the service is efficient and friendly, and they don't hesitate to check several times to make sure everything is alright. The dishes are beautifully presented, and it's delicious from appetizer to dessert—what more can I say? Go, but remember to book! I

Great lunch with a friend. Friendly staff, helpful with advice. Free parking spaces are available on the service road in Cognehors, but they're often full. Alternatively, there are two or three bike racks next to the restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant, not too noisy, but it wasn't full either (we had a reservation). The lunchtime set menus are excellent value for money, and in addition to the regular menu, there are daily specials. I really liked the decor. The service was quick but adapted to the pace of the diners.
