We had a really wonderful meal at Restaurant le 17. We noticed its offering board as we walked through Mulhouse's old city, keeping an eye out for a place to have a midday meal. The daily offering and a menu posted next to it enticed us, and we followed the arrow down Rue Palle until we found the restaurant and asked if it was open for a midday meal. The place seemed just to be opening, but they kindly seated us at a comfortable outside table and we ordered some Alsatian Riesling, which turned out to be very good — I never saw the label, so don't have that information to share. The food was great, which is especially appreciated since not many restaurants are open in the city center on Sunday at lunchtime. The waiter was very patient, and the new kitchen team is delivering consistently good dishes. The only slight downside was the limited dessert selection, and the duck was a bit too greasy.
