I was hungry after a long tour around town and craved something other than French food and thought this would satisfy my palette however, it was a disappointing meal. Dry and flavorless falafel that broke apart with each touch of my fork, the laban was so seriously dense with a scant drizzle of olive oil and herbs. The zatar bread meant to accompany it was replaced by thin, cold pieces of pita bread that I had to send back for heating. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a fantastic meal at L’Arbousier! The food was fresh, flavoursome, and beautifully healthy. We both had the Phoenicia plate (€14) with falafel, salad, and hummus — absolutely delicious. I also tried a fresh juice with lemon, ginger, and apple which was really refreshing. I’m veggie and my boyfriend carnivore and he loved it too!! My boyfriend enjoyed a café crème (the coffee smelled amazing) and took beautiful handmade Turkish delight home for later, which was sold in lovely individual pieces in glass jars/ a lovely touch. Lunch while on a day trip to Nimes. Picked here because the menu is full of gluten & lactose free options. Extremely helpful waitress set us up on the street as inside was very busy. My wife had the plat du jour followed by chocolate fondant with pistachio, and I had a plate of 3 meze followed by a date pastry made with semolina. Washed down with orange blossom drinks and Assam tea. Highly recommended!
