We arrived late in the city and went straight from the hotel in search of a place to dine. The first venue near the hotel was full, and we waited about ten minutes without anyone noticing us. We strolled a little further and found another restaurant that was also busy, but the owner offered to assist and contacted Le Bœuf au Balcon, which agreed to accommodate us despite the late hour. Great place when you have a craving for meat. The chosen piece is served with choice of sauce and mixed veg or fries. 300g of meat was enough to satisfy my hunger for blood; on the other hand the serving of red wine was a little stingy. We went there rather early for a saturday night, but the waiter seemed already busy. Table management was poor: not everyone is in a raucous mood and just wish to enjoy his/her food. Consequently, the noise made us leave before dessert. Still, 5 stars for the food.

If you want some beef, this is the place to come. The staff are experts in steaks. The quality of the meat is high and they will cook them exactly to your liking. It's very good value for the quality.
