Had an absolutely amazing birthday dinner here! Reservations were made online about a week in advance, for three of us on a Friday at 9:30pm. There were only a couple other tables dining by the time we were there. Just about all the food was outstanding except one dish, the mushrooms. The cocktails were limited and just ok. COCKTAILS * Fez (£12) - 3 stars (too much licorice flavor) * Bakir (£14) - 3.5 stars (more refreshing, not super interesting) MEZZES * Pita maison (£1) - 4 stars * Malka Bread (£12) - 5 stars. The atmosphere at Jolia is excellent. It was a beautiful spring night and the windows were open and the lighting is very seductive. The food is quite good but not excellent. The service was really poor. In fact the waitress apologized to me without prompting and said she was sorry for the service and they were understaffed for the evening. I appreciated that. Lastly, again why only served natural wines? We found a couple decent wines but I would have preferred a more robust offering of wines to choose from. All in all however, I will return ! Starts
