Excellent food! My boyfriend came here once and was so impressed by the food, he talked for a long time to take me here. We stayed at a nearby hotel. The food is amazing! Kitchen is transparent, you can look in from a big window. When I saw my main dish, I was a bit disappointed, but when I tasted it, OMG it’s so good. Simply love it! I had an excellent meal here this weekend. The sweetbreads I ordered for the entree were succulent and perfectly cooked (I hadn't seen them on a menu for many years, so I had to try them). For the mains I ordered the duck leg, which was so tender that I didn't need a knife. It was served with a delightful spiced tomato and vegetables. My wife ordered the fish which was similarly presented and was also excellent. The only slight disappointment was the dessert, which was merely good rather than excellent. Stunning. Absolutely wonderful family run restaurant. Traditional French food and for us it was part of French experience- we couldn’t wish for better. Sincere food, very well balanced. Amazing duck, chicken, cheese.. all accompanied with wonderful wines. Sensible prices. Can’t recommend thai hidden gem well enough- avoid tourist traps nearby and enjoy sincere food in Chez Jean.
