A cozy yet elegant brewpub on the edge of the Altstadt. Clearly a family run operation with some history. Several beer options vom fass and I chose the Shinnerla, their house beer and Helles lager. Great traditional dishes and seasonal options. The bärlauchcremesuppe was delicious! Also enjoyed the jägerkrüstchen as the main dish. A warm, friendly place for couples, groups, and families.

I can only recommend this kitchen which serves typical Bavarian food but with a little revisiting. The service is smiling and effective, the portions are ample. On the way from old city centre to Haus Wahnfried, you will and should not miss it.

Though this is no longer a brewery, their beer is contract brewed elsewhere and still quite good. It's dry and fruity. The pub is bit kitschy but from what I read, the food sounds good. We stopped in for last call after eating (and drinking) at still brewing Becher-Bräu on the outskirts of town. I'd eat here next time and have more than one beer, too.
