Rude. Overheated crowded space, with poor seating & table arrangement. Received permission to open a window directly behind me, as the room was overheated and I was sitting alone and away from other patrons. Across the room (40 feet away) 3 patrons conducted a loud phone call on speaker, with one patron continually coughing and sneezing without covering his mouth (another reason to open the window). The fact that they spoke English, as a American I was embarrased for their rude behavior. When my food arrived, a party of three girls arrived and instructed the waitress to close the partially ope

Excellent dining at Platzhirsch! Genuinely prepared food and drinks. The waitresses was wonderful, she took great pride and was so helpful. I asked what a couple of the dishes had in them for ingredients. She went to the kitchen and brought back samples! She suggested a lovely locally produced wine for my wife. We are english and french speakers, but we managed just fine.

Charming restaurant popular with locals, incredibly good food (honestly the best I've had yet in Germany), I had the zweirost medium rare with fried potatoes and it restored my soul. Warm, friendly service, I felt right at home. Content chatter all around the restaurant for Saturday lunch and laughter from other tables made for such a pleasant atmosphere. Try the hazelnut schnapps after your meal!
