Went in around 1900 on a Monday, parked at the Mainz cinestar lot, more lots closer, and it was about a 5 minute walk with a 6 and 10 year old. The place was packed inside and a few filled tables outside, but we still got in because of a reservation. The tables are all pretty close, but still comfortable. The service is not bad, nothing spectacular but still tip worthy. The food was good and above average. I would say that we would go back again, but nothing like a must go thing.

Good beer, good food. I had ordered the vegan schnitzel and a regular one was brought to the table but after I clarified that it was not what I had ordered they brought the correct one and were even nice to allow me to choose a different side dish. Very nice and helpful service

This is a rare experience. Food quality is exemplary, flavours are mouth watering and the menu very wide and varied for all tastes and requirements. Stunning local sourced ingredients and beautiful weiss beer (the HELL is great!). Had the beef stew with freshly made dumplings and deep gravy sauce of red wine, onions and seasoning. Desert was a very light but flavour packed apple strudel with delicate vanilla ice cream - not a cheap ice cream either. Absolutely brilliant place and great atmosphere. Great location to walk too and superb for work related evening meals out etc.
