Second visit was as good as the first, in September 2023. What you get here is a warm welcome, and a fabulous, well appointed, spacious bedroom en suite, in the "old style". Local beer to die for, superior vegetarian kale burger, and substantial, generous breakfast with excellent coffee. Professional, accomodating staff at Thomsen makes this an ideal stay for two adults and two small dogs. We will be back.

I would not recommend the hotel due to the price-performance ratio. 83 EUR (9EUR for breakfast) is too much for what you get. I didn't try the restaurant, only used it for the buffet breakfast in the morning. I had better experiences in hostels. The location is well connected with public transport and within a walking distance there is a bus stop (almost right in front it, 30min to Bremen main train station) and two train stations (2-3km away with 10-16min to the Bremen main train station). It does the job, nothing fancy. AC seemed initially broken, but got fixed after a while. If you just need a room for traveling further really the next day, this may be exactly what you are after. Sadly, the pub a few houses away was closed this week.

rooms did not have still water only with carbonated soda water. bathroom was nice but shower did not have full doors to close so floor got wet when bathing and we could hear neighbors opening and closing the doors. food was better than expected and rooms were clean and comfortable
