I've had the pleasure of having lunch at this beautiful Italian cafe in the centre of Erlangen and both my friend (British) and myself (Italian) literally fell in love with the place, with the food, 100% Italian, and with the lovely owner Stefania, who prepares herself all the cakes and pastries. We've had the traditional parmigiana di melanzane (aubergines) and a sort of pizza bread with original neapolitan friarielli (OMG yes!) with mozzarella. Oh wow this was so good! And so huge! (And I think only about 4€) It was called Sauer Kirsch but wasn't sour at all. The only way I can describe it is 'perfect'. I'll be crossing my fingers and hoping to find it there again in a few weeks!
