Yesterday we visited Copper Bowl restaurant, and ubfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The food was not as good as we expected. The quantity was also very poor for the price. As you can see in the photos, they served Sambhar twice on the plate instead of providing enough chutney. Even for one person, the portions were not sufficient. We also asked if we could order a dosa, but the waiter simply said it was not possible, without giving any clear explanation. That sounded very strange for a restaurant serving South Indian food. I have been visiting Copper bowl ever since I moved to Germany and over the years it has truly become a comfort spot for me. What I appreciate most is that they don’t just stick to the restaurant basics, instead they offer authentic and traditional South Indian food that feels like home! The Sunday brunch and the festive banana leaf meal especially bring the real regional flavours that is hard to find elsewhere.
