Unfortunately, it was not my first visit to this restaurant chain, but it will probably be the last. I visited this place with a friend on the occasion of a music event that took place in the area. We were warned about the waiting time of about 40 minutes. Therefore, in addition to ordering a burger and a wrap, we ordered sweet potato fries to pass the waiting time. After about 50 minutes, we asked about our dishes because there were customers in our neighborhood who placed their orders about 30 minutes after us and had already received their dishes. We came here before an EURO match in Gelsenkirchen. We had to wait a bit for the food - but the waitress told us in advance, so that was well appreciated. Food was ok. The schnitzel was not completely cooked when we got it - but they took it back and then brought it with a good term. The chicken salad was nice.

It's a place to avoid! The staff is unfriendly, you can't communicate in English. Food it's cold and when you say about it they put it to the microwave. But form the beginning. I used to go to Extrablatt in Cologne quite often, and it was nice to visit yet another good branch in Gelsenkirchen. I ordered a schnitzel with mushroom sauce (I recommend turkey instead of pork - it’s actually a bit thicker and juicier), it was very tasty, nothing too fancy but cooked just right, and at a very cheap price, I must say. The mushroom sauce was delicious and the salad was super fresh with just the right amount of dressing. The waiters were very courteous and polite, and the food was brought out promptly. Great cafe for a quick bite or a longer dinner.
