Very cute little restaurant. The food was very good and nicely presented. Very good value for money. Why am I "only" giving four stars - wel...imo the service didn't live up to our expectations. In this kind of restaurant you expect the staff to be more engaging and to share their knowledge of the food you're being served and to be able to make recommendations on which wine to pair with which dish. It would also make sense to keep the (white) wine cold while you're serving it at the table. All in all a decent experience with some room for inprovement.

The price is absolutely fair, appropriate for the city and location. The complimentary welcome treat (homemade bread) is a fun touch, and chocolates were included with the bill. Last night, the two of us visited KIK again to treat ourselves to a culinary experience. The evening began with homemade potato bread, served with pesto rosso and organic cress. Next came Marco's fish soup, absolutely amazing! Then came the Allgäu mountain cheese croquette. Once again, we were blown away by the flavor! 👍 Then came the confit duck breast praline on bulgur with teriyaki and yuzu. Again, pure culinary delight! A+ for the creativity and execution alone!
