Hotel Stadt Hameln is a gem of a hotel! Every staff member we encountered were very friendly and helpful, and never made us feel out of place or ashamed when our German speaking wasn't the best (most everyone spoke English for us). Our room was beautiful, clean, had everything we might need (including a mini refrigerator), and the included breakfast was so delicious and plentiful. We arrived earlier than check-in so we parked in a parking garage right next to it, and we were able to stay there as they validated our ticket at check-out. During my recent stay at the Hotel for a Seminar, there were discrepancies in room size and amenities despite uniform pricing for overnight stays, with some rooms lacking in comfort. However, the hotel staff tried to be helpful and friendly. Nice family owned hotel at a good location. We were here for a weekend seminar, and the place is nice. You can tell it’s family owned because everything is well cared for and just has this thought through vibe. Good mix between classic and modern. Unfortunately, the lady at the reception (the most important person in the hotel chain) was unfriendly. Doesn’t make me feel welcome at all. That’s why I had to take a star away.

I overnighted here and found the room quite big, very old style. The only disappointment I had was that the pillows were very thin even though they looked puffy. Breakfast buffet could also do with more regular topping up and cleaning/refreshing of tables. Since my company paid I cannot comment on value for money.
