The place is really good and peaceful! They serve nice food and also have a small party hall. I really liked the small fires near the table to create warmth. The place is really quite and superb to go with the family. You can also climb up a little and see the nice view. Weather was really sunny and it is best to visit in such weather as it is in the open environment. The place is must visit, when near to Bochum!

Food is good. But views are amazing! Views of Kemnade see and rolling hills from your table would add to taste. Had waffles with ice cream and warm apple compote was very good! Had one of few vegetarian dish Noodles with cheese, onions and mushrooms. It was very filling! Push it down with König Pilsener!

It is a beautiful castle which is located on a hill so you can see almost everywhere in that area including kemnade lake. When you get there do not forget to climb up the castle and see the top of that. To do so, you have to use the stairs right on the left side of the entrance of the Cafe. The view is marvelous! I totally recommend it to everyone

They have small cafeteria just in the entrance, serving hot drinks and variant of in-house waffles. Very soft almost like a pancake waffles are resh and enjoyable. Extra "thumbs up" for calming nice playlist.
