Kümmel Apotheke is a charming little café, bar and bistro in the heart of Leipzig, located inside the beautiful and historic Mädler Passage. It has been part of the city centre since 1984 and is known as a small place for drinks, snacks, breakfast, light dishes and regional Leipzig specialities. We stopped by for a little brunch and enjoyed the atmosphere of this café-bistro style place. We had some drinks and shrimp as a small snack, which made it a pleasant short break during our visit. Whenever I visit Leipzig, I go to this cafe at least once for lunch or dinner. They always have unique delicious food. The menu is always new and I never get bored. I can tell that the chef is very energetic, curious person. This time, I had spaghetti with Thai curry sauce and my friend had pancake with chicken rague, cheese sauce. Both were so delicious!! I recommend everyone who would like to enjoy a different face with delicacy of Leipzig. I will visit here again!

Very good ambiance, kind and friendly service but not heavy... i really appreciated this place. And the food was simply awesome ! I heaviltly recommand the bread soup, and the sweat potato soup and we simply loved the smoked salmon. A bit pricy for Leipzig but I would definitely go again !!

Stopped in for coffee and pastry and were seated right away. The atmosphere was very nice in the outdoor table area. I had a pastry and coffee. Both were tasty. Service was great!
