Location was good because of the nearness of where we needed to be. But that was all. Ok, the room was clean. Our room was streetside. I could hear the traffic even with the closed windows. Thank goodness our stay was not during the summer, otherwise, the noise level would have been worse because the windows would have needed to be open (no AC). The bed was horrible. It sank in the middle and I felt like I had to climb a mountain in order to get out. Maybe, if it was only me sleeping there, it would not have been so bad. But with two people, it was not good. I stayed here for one night due to a conference in Köln. This hotel has a nice parking, very clean room, and most importantly tea kettle in the room (+tea&coffee). The personnel is welcoming and polite. I got no complaints and will recommend this place to everyone coming to this area. If i had to nitpick - the pillows could be better quality :)

Tricky this one - The family run hotel is welcoming and nicely run with a good breakfast selection and dinner menu and the owners/staff are very friendly. The only thing I don't like so much is the lack of air conditioning, or ways to keep cool in the rooms I've been in so far. With a nearby railway causing enough noise to warrant keeping windows shut if you're a light sleeper, it can get a bit warm during the summer months. If I thought to ask for a fan though, I'm sure they'd do what they could to help, so maybe I will up to a 4 after my next visit!

The food was great, service was great, accommodations were great. It’s not a 5 star western hotel and it’s not supposed to be. It’s a perfect small hotel just far enough from the city.
