An historic restaurant/pub on the riverside in the Nikolaivietel area in central Berlin. The wood-pannelled walls are covered in old advertisements which provides some nostalgic interest. The Weiner Schnitzel with Pomme Fritte & Champignons was a tasty meal. The naturally cloudy Berliner Kindl helped absorb the atmosphere. It was a quiet mid afternoon visit before heading off to the airport for a flight home... much better than airporr food! The service was warm and friendly.

Good traditional German food and a sweet, nostalgic atmosphere! My grandparents loved it — the old signs and decorations reminded them of their childhood. The interior is charming and authentically vintage, and even the music perfectly matches the theme. The waitress was incredibly friendly, and we felt truly welcomed. There are also great vegan and vegetarian options. Such a lovely place! We’ll definitely come back for sure.

This place is designed like a traditional German Kneipe (pub). However, due to its location in the Nikolaiviertel, it is frequented more by tourists than by locals. I liked the nostalgic atmosphere, and on a rainy day with temperatures around 0 °C, it felt especially cozy to sit in a warm pub and watch the River Spree flow by.
