Yesterday, I attended the "Spaghetti Murder" murder mystery dinner at the Bürgergarten in Mülheim an der Ruhr, and unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. The meal was by far the weakest part of the entire evening. The minestrone was acceptable, but everything that followed was shockingly poor. The intermediate course of spaghetti with pesto and Parmesan barely resembled a proper meal – it was essentially just plain pasta with a bit of oil and Parmesan. The main course was equally unimaginative and low-quality, and the dessert was so tiny that it disappeared after two spoonfuls. W

We were on vacation with friends and family and were looking for a restaurant. We couldn't have found anything better than Haus Bürgergarten. The service staff was very friendly and took care of us immediately upon arrival. As you would expect from a traditional German restaurant, the interior is rather classic and features a lot of wood, but it's very cozy. After everyone had ordered, we received a small complimentary appetizer. That's not something you can take for granted these days. First off, the food, service, and prices are absolutely top-notch! 👍👍👍 The ambiance is a bit dated. Unfortunately, the area around the restaurant isn't very nice. I can't comment on the rooms, as we were only there for dinner, and we'll definitely be back! 👍
