I went there with very low expectations—just another Italian restaurant in town, and quite difficult to get a reservation. Even the table assigned wasn’t my favorite, and the hostess didn’t really try to ask if we were Ok with it. That said, I was there for the food. Once the appetizers arrived, everything changed. Amazing food. We arrived without a reservation and were seated at the bar. The restaurant is stylish and the waiters are very friendly. They picked up that we speak better Italian than German and they liked that a lot. I went to Edmondo recently for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was top notch. Our waitress Marine was very friendly and very hospitable. She truly made the experience better. Definitely a must visit if you are in Hamburg.
