Ristorante La Fontana in Rostock was unfortunately not the lunch experience I was hoping for. I can overlook most everything- except the seemingly rude and almost non-existent service. It was also the place of the warmest, flat diet pepsi I've ever had in my life- anywhere in the world. On a brighter note, my friend really enjoyed her dessert, and she went out of her way to find our server and give her some extra money as a tip. She actually smiled and seemed appreciative, but by then, it was too late for me.

The pizza was quite good, however, I had the following conversation with the waitress: - I would like to pay by card, please. - It is unfortunately only possible above 50 EUR. - Where is it written? - Nowhere, unfortunately. - Then please bring me the card terminal, as I have full rights to pay by card. - Okay, then please come inside, as the terminal only works inside. Such conversations make tge guest leave with a bad impression and raises the suspect that financially something fishy is going on.

Nice restaurant located directly in the old city center on a romantic quiet place. It is definitely worth visiting this place while being in Rostock. The food is great and the service friendly smiling while serving the food and drinks. We love to return.

Staff very nice, spoke a little English. Menus online translated (or worked with google translation, not sure) food very tasty. Had the turkey mushroom risotto, and it was very good. I also had the recommended salad with it. It was good but a bit pricy for what I got. Lastly, I got the tiramisu, one of the best I've had lately.
