I liked their outdoor vibe and service. I ordered the seafood ceviche served with plaintain chips, this was my favorite! The ceviche was bursting with flavor. My second order which was the lamb chops was overdone and so it didn't taste as good as I would have expected, that was a let down. Our waiter just assumed that we would want it well done and so it came back dry! The dessert: the double chocolate sundae: saved the situation afterwards. 😄

I’ve eaten here a few times over the years, the food is generally good, a little on the spicy side. There is a bit of a wait time for food and drinks so be sure to order ahead if you are very hungry or just be ready to exercise patience. As pretty as the outdoor bar nook is, it is a mosquito haven at night so if you would still love to sit out there wear repellent.

Ghastro lived up to my expectations. Their cocktails were sublime along with a good choice of wine. The food was just perfect, a creative fusion of West African, Caribbean and Afro-American. Wow!!! That’s how I will describe this restaurant. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is very well thought out. The infusion of flavors that jive with every bit is remarkable while still holding cultural food standards from Ghana. The chef came to meet and greet us at the table, and the staff is amazingly accommodating. This is the 4th time I indulge in this wonderful place.
