chong carolyn★★★★★We chose this restaurant to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday, and it turned out to be such a warm and thoughtful experience. We don’t usually go for fine dining and can find it a little intimidating, but the team made us feel completely at ease from the start. The service was exceptional and genuinely attentive — they take the initiative to adjust the menu for us at the last minute when everyone was coughing, understanding that deep-fried element of the dish might not be ideal. They also kindly accommodated an earlier dinner service so my 93-year-old grandma could eat at her usual time. A truly caring team with great food and heart. Thank you for making a special family evening even more memorable. 💛
Rachel Tong★★★★One-thirty-one remains a beautiful destination restaurant, but the overall experience has changed since the previous era. The food is still fine – competently executed modern European dishes in a picturesque setting – but it no longer feels quite as special or polished as it did under the former chef, when the tasting menus were more distinctive and consistently memorable. Service has also changed since the manager left: while the team remains functional, the new staff lack the same warmth and familiarity, so interactions feel more transactional and less personable than before. That said, one-thirtyone is still a very pleasant place for a relaxed lunch on a clear day, with its lawn, sea views over Three Fathoms Cove, and dog‑friendly outdoor areas making it particularly enjoyable if you want to bring your dogs and spend a quiet afternoon away from the city.
Derek Pinchbeck★★★The view is great, although only one place on our table could see it as the other had a view of the wall, and the food is ok this could be so much better. Given the expense of the meal and the fact we had to book and pay well in advance the unwelcoming atmosphere was disappointing. Upon arriving I asked if I could have a glass of water before we began, only to be told they did not serve water other than purchasing very expensive large bottle of mineral water. This set a general tone which did not make one feel relaxed or welcomed. Plates were cleared the moment the last mouthful had gone in and we were asked if we wanted coffee a mere 40 minutes after entering the restaurant and whilst we had still not finished our bottle of wine. This could be a lovely restaurant if they made guest feel welcomed rather than an imposition on their time who they wanted to get out of the building as soon as possible.
Keith Huang (MrKeithHuang)★★★★Generally rating the restaurant, the vibe is wonderful, the service is good (when available), and the food is ok. We came on mother's day, and it was fully booked. The kitchen could not handle this, and it took over 90 minutes to recieve the main dish. With a booking we sat down at 130pm, we were served mains at 310pm (with chasing the kitchen). I recommend to come for a coffee or tea, and enjoy meals only on non festive days, likely the kitchen pacing would be quicker, and not have such long waiting times. Also we were served tenderloin steak, when the menu said sirloin steak. The lawn overlooking the lagoon is a nice place to hangout after the meal.
Gloria CHAN★★1. Food are tasty but not worth reflected to the price as the ingredients are not luxury and without alcohol, 2 adults 1 kid for set lunch spent around HKD2000. Required almost full pre-pay deposit. 2.services of manager VERY BAD in terms of attitude, agreed to let us stay until 3pm when we pay the deposit 1 week ago, but at the end when we arrived the venue, the male manager asked me to sit next to the kitchen door, I requested to sit further at the window seat (remarks : four tables only in the indoor dining area, two are 5 cm distance next to kitchen doors and one next to window was full of storage and another window table is empty at that moment) leave at 2pm due to private event set up crew came earlier for set up the decoration, he asked " the host will come for food at 2pm, if you want to seat at the window's, required to leave at 2pm, ok or not? in Cantonese wording of the conversation with the manager : -------------------------------------------------------------------------
misotam★★★Maybe its secluded location or its inability to entertain spontaneous visit has whipped up my expectations too much: I can't say I was overly impressed by this restaurant. It positions itself as a boutique fine dine restaurant. and this is well reflected in its price: for a simple four course lunch that wasn't specially filling, you are paying hkd 700+. For that same price you could have had better food plus alcohol in a more accessible location where you don't have to drive 1 hour away from civilization. Sure, the food ain't too bad: scallop is well seared, gazpacho is refreshing, and the desert is seasonal. The main course is a major disappointment: stewed ox tail that's bland and generic. Something you can find anywhere and even cook at home. Service is attentive and courteous. Slight crowded and small dining area that can be very noisy when fully seated. Overall, it might be fun to try just for novelty, but certainly not going back for a long while.

Kento Jorge★★★★★Very nice private fine dining restaurant, it’s excluded and beautiful! The restaurant is located right on the seafront, and is surrounded by trees. It feels like dining in the south of France. The food was very tasty and refreshing, and was enough to make me satasfied. The staff were very knowledgable of the food and surrounding area. The service was top notch. I would definitely recommend this place for dates and events!
