Cosa dice la gente

Good restaurant as per ambience, menu and overall vibe. However, it too overpriced. 820 for fish and chips are seriously unjustifiable. Fiery chicken was also not up to the expectations. Apple pie was good. Can be tried once.

• Visited The Only Place for Sunday brunch — a spot that had been on our must-visit list for a long time. The experience truly lived up to the great reviews we had read. • The restaurant offers a relaxed, casual dining atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal at leisure, with ample seating, no feeling of rush, and a pleasant breeze throughout. • The food is easy on the pocket yet delicious. They serve American–Continental cuisine and are especially well known for their steaks and burgers. • We loved the steaks and burgers overall, though a couple of items could have been better. The chilly beef, for instance, lacked the expected punch and felt quite ordinary. • The fish sticks also have room for improvement. • Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff were attentive when taking orders, very polite, and took time to understand our palate before suggesting dishes. • Recommended dishes: Sergeant Pepper Steak, Whopper Burgers, and Chicken Mushroom Soup.

Tucked away from the frantic pace of one of Bangalore’s busiest streets, "The Only Place" offers an experience that feels like stepping back in time, a true sanctuary of nostalgia for those who value culinary consistency over modern trends. Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the sense of heritage that permeates the air. This is not just a place to grab a meal, it is an institution. Part of what makes this experience so unique is the service, you are often welcomed by servers who have been the face of the establishment for over 25 years, providing a level of warm, familiar hospitality that is increasingly rare in the city today. The menu is a testament to the idea that if it isn't broken, don't fix it. It remains focused on delivering quality comfort food at remarkably reasonable pricing. No visit here is complete without indulging in their trademark lasagna, a dish that hits the spot every single time. Beyond the pasta, their steaks are nothing short of amazing, cooked to perf

We recently had dinner at The Only Place. ordered beef Philly steak, lamb chops, mushroom spaghetti, apple pie, and a few other things. The beef Philly steak was pretty good, and it came with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. The portion was huge, easily enough for two people. The lamb chops were a bit of a letdown—they were chewy and not as tender as I'd hoped, even though they came with the same mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. The mushroom spaghetti was creamy and tasted alright, but it wasn't anything special. For dessert, we tried the apple pie with cream, but honestly, it didn't live up to all the hype. The restaurant itself has a nice, quiet, and cozy vibe, which is great for a chill meal. But the prices felt a bit high for the quality of the food. All in all, it was an average dining experience—nice atmosphere, good portions, but the food just didn't quite justify the cost.

Historic beef restaurants that has been around since 1965. Cute building with open air courtyard in the centre leading to an airy feel. Friendly efficient waiters quickly sat us down and explained any questions about the menu. The focus is on beef with a good range of steaks and burgers. This place was recommended by a top class chef friend and after tasting the food I can see why. The steak was as good as we have had in India with the mash and vegetables also well cooked. No alcohol available but the mango milkshake was lovely. If you fancy some decent continental food especially beef this place is well worth putting at the top of your list.

We visited The Only Place—famous for its steaks—but decided to try their non-beef options, and we were absolutely thrilled! The entire experience was fantastic. Not only was the service fast, but the restaurant also has a very good vibe, and the cleanliness is perfectly maintained, which really enhanced the visit. For the food, we ordered the OG's special chicken and the spicy fried fish. Both dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. The chicken was incredibly juicy, and the spicy fried fish was soft and tasted super fresh. Both plates came with generous portions of creamy mashed potatoes and flavorful spinach, which complemented the mains perfectly. This place proves they are masters of more than just steak. Highly recommend it!

We visited this place after almost 20 years. Back then, it was quite famous for its sizzlers, and based on those memories, I brought my family here with very high expectations. Unfortunately, after reaching, we found out that they had stopped serving sizzlers after COVID, which was a disappointment. We tried a few dishes, including their steaks. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out. We specifically asked for the food to be spicy, but the waiter jokingly mentioned that it would only be “American spicy” (LOL), and that turned out to be true. The food lacked the spice levels we were expecting. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the memories we had of the place. While the food was decent, it wasn’t memorable enough for us to revisit purely for the dining experience.

Great food. Unexpectedly large portions. Every dish has been made really well and even the complementary dishes are quite good too. Service is great and the wait time is reasonable for freshly cooked food. Toilets are a bit lacking in quality and usability especially if there are a dozen or so people. It’s a lively atmosphere nothing loud or too quiet either.
