This not about the rooms only on restaurant. We came there for Dosas and chutney for which it was famous. Rates are too high. You can adjust it for the ambience. But the quality… horrible. Rawa dosa was still raw one side. Chutneys are worst and not even single type was tasty. On questioning the waitress said… the chutneys of good quality supplied from a central point were over and the master is not there. Then they should not accept the order instated of spoiling the image. They don’t serve purified water and bottled water payable. I don’t know whether is it right mandatory forcible selling of drinking water. Request the patrons not to patronise any restaurant which don’t serve free purified water. We are not in Europe. No photos were taken.

Absolutely terrible experience at Chutneys (L.B. Nagar branch). From the moment we walked in, the staff were rude, careless, and completely uninterested in serving customers. Basic courtesy and hospitality were missing, and no one seemed to know what they were doing. The food was even worse. The thali was a joke—very limited curry options and nothing tasted fresh or well-prepared. The potato fry was extremely dry, tasteless, and felt like it had been sitting out for hours. Even the podi, which is usually a highlight at places like this, was bland and disappointing. Overall, poor food, poor service, and even worse management. It honestly feels like nobody here cares about quality or customer experience. Completely not worth the money or time.

The poori is a must-try — perfectly puffed, soft inside, and served hot. I also really liked the dosa; it was crisp, well-prepared, and satisfying. The coffee deserves a special mention too — strong, flavorful, and a great way to finish the meal. Since the restaurant carries the name “Chutneys,” I feel they should maintain and elevate the variety and taste of their chutneys even more. While they are decent, there is definitely room to enhance the flavors and make them more memorable. Overall, the quality and quantity justify the price, making it worth spending for a fulfilling breakfast experience. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with good ambience and tasty South Indian breakfast options, I would definitely recommend Chutneys.

Employees were not attentive, did not respond properly, and there was no basic customer courtesy. For a popular restaurant like Chutneys, this level of service is disappointing. Staff training and supervision are clearly required. Hope the management of the LB Nagar branch takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service.”

I had a very bad experience in this Chutneys at L b nagar The staff were too busy and running around. We ordered some North Indian starters by mistake and it took more than 45 mins to receive them. Dosa came within 20 mins but all starters and one North Indian dish came so very late I think one should never order any of starters n North Indian dishes here. The taste was also very ordinary for the pricing. When compared to the other branches the service here was too sluggish when the crowd was also very less. Wouldn't come back here.
