“Had Meals, porotta, tuna fry, kilimeen fry and crab roast. Only crab roast was somewhat good. Both the fried fishes felt very old, especially tuna was not even edible. I will call "fossil fish". I am from Kerala and was craving for sea food and really disappointed.”

We were referred by our friends to this place. Ambience is OK, Service was fast. Had Prawns biryani which was good, but as an andrite we could not understand Malabar mutton biryani. It was very plain made with ordinary rice. Compared to other biryani we eat it was not spicy --- may be kerala dish is supposed to be that way, which we couldn't understand. Only 4 mutton pieces were there where as Prawn biryani has good amount. Chocolate lassi was also ok. Overall it was ok. Only part which we enjoyed was view of birds through the glass.

Kerala food in the heart of Hyderabad. Akson Restaurant has been in Hyderabad for a long time now, having grown from a small eatery in Punjagutta to a full fledged restaurant now & planning to expand this outlet too. Fresh fish on display for you to choose is what greets you as you enter. The open kitchen gives you a feel of hygiene & neatness. The owner & the team are at hand to guide & help you in placing your order. Food is definitely adapted to suit the local taste & hence not true authentic Kerala cuisine. No complaints however since all of us enjoyed the Parotta, Appam, Egg Roast, Mutton Curry, Omelette, Half Boil & the Malabar Biryani. Service is attentive & good. Go there to try something new & different.

Had an amazing Kerala meals here! The Egg Curry with Appam is a must-try—We also loved the Egg Biriyani and Chicken Biriyani, and the Chicken Kothu Parotta was absolutely delicious. A special mention to Mammu for the wonderful service; his pleasant attitude always makes the dining experience even better. Highly recommended for authentic Kerala flavours!
