Pleasant and peaceful outdoor patio (no music to be annoyed by), friendly service, though somewhat stretched (we needed to get the attention of the two waitstaff a few times). Limited but varying menu. (For some reason the menu displayed by the door was an earlier menu — and several items on that were not in the new menu. Surely the menu that people look at to decide whether to come in should be the menu that’s actually on offer!) The bruschetta was unusual and tasty, the tagliatelle with ragu was excellent. Great flavour food. Made with quality ingredients and executed with care & attention. I had the beef tartare which was amazing followed by the seafood pasta which was tasty and beautifully put together. A lovely small restaurant beautifully decorated. Although the terrace is great we sat inside. The price is slight higher than Osterias that you can find on the main high street. But it’s worth it. Service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Altrove Ristorante was a highlight of an afternoon in La Spezia. Took a train into town to get away from the tourists in the smaller villages of Cinque Terre and it was great luck I chose this restaurant. I would return to La Spezia only to eat here. Kind and professional staff, delicious meal, pleasant atmosphere on the patio near the water. I highly recommend the filet mignon with gorgonzola and squid ink pasta with mussels.

Great service, delicious food, but I did not enjoy the bread. It was my least favorite part. We also had delicious wine. You should check this restaurant out! Get the rabbit pasta!! Incredible!
