Wow, they charged me 5.50 euros for one small macchiato and a maritozzo, the pricing is exorbitant. How are the 2 of these even worth 5.50 euros? I have been to many pasticcerias across Italy as a tourist and never been charged such a high price, even in the central of Florence. Furthermore this is located quite far from major tourist attraction. Perhaps because the prices are not openly displayed they get most of their profits from overcharging tourists. We had very nice lunch here - good salad and toastie. The horrible story came when I went to the dessert counter and trying to order the dessert. The red hair lady with glasses was extremely rude. I asked what's her recommendation - she was very angry and reacted in a horrible way. I wanted to order several options, but in the end I felt so disappointed with her attitude so only choose one. When I tried to pay, she insisted that I need to pay other things as well - after checking with her colleagues in the end, she finally realised that I had paid the food and only need to pay the dessert. Wonderful and affordable bakery and coffee from this cafe. Their cappuccino and espresso are superb. The aftertaste of espresso lingers. Their croissant is soft. The honey on its surface is refreshing. Their totō worths a try. Just fit. Not very sweet. Just a few tables and seats outside the cafe. Besides tourists like me, it seems that quite a lot of local residents visit this cafe and have their coffee with their dogs at the patio. This brings to you a joyful and peaceful picture.
