The Embarcadero restaurant is very rare in that it's right at the water's edge along the Lungomare seaside promenade in Salerno. We sat upstairs on a sunny day to have some drinks and snacks. The drinks were good, the included snacks were generous, and it's a great view of the sea from up there. Our only gripe was that during our visit our server was more interested in hobnobbing with his friends/relatives than in serving us, and so they could have made more money off of us with a little more attention. But that may have just been a one-off problem.

Just visited the bar and asked if we could have a drink at the terrace. The waiter told us to sit to another table till an other would be free. We wwere waiting more than 25 minutes and nobody showed up to ask us if we wanted something to drink. We decided to leave and on the way out another waiter asked us if we wanted to pay🤣🤣🤣. We explained the whole story but nobody showed any interest... Amazing sevice... There are so many other places for an aperitivo with much better service!!!

We ordered two desserts, and unfortunately, both of them were served completely frozen. The tiramisu didn’t taste like tiramisu at all, it felt more like frozen butter rather than a proper dessert. The Amalfi lemon dessert (not sure about the exact name) was extremely dry and also frozen solid. It seemed like they were taken straight out of the freezer and not even properly defrosted. What made the experience even worse was that I saw the waiter tap on the dessert himself, clearly noticing the issue, yet we were still charged for these desserts. Overall I would give Embarcadero a 4.5 ⭐️ The service was amazing, attentive but not over bearing and very quick. The food was delicious! Some of the best we have had in Italy so far. However, for the price we did expect a bit more flavour. All of the seafood was incredibly fresh and the ravioli was incredible The reason I’m giving 5 stars is the atmosphere. The views were incredible and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. If you are in Salerno and enjoy seafood, you will not regret having dinner here.
