Disappointing Service & Management Issues We visited Macera on a Thursday evening, having enjoyed the venue previously when it was Copas Central. Unfortunately, our experience was highly disappointing and we will not be returning. 1. Management Attitude (The First Impression): The venue was completely empty when we arrived. Despite this, the manager who approached us was incredibly cold, arrogant, and insistent on asking about a reservation, treating us with a noticeable sense of condescension while the place had zero customers. This unwelcoming attitude set a very poor tone for the entire evening. 2. Confusing and Pushy Service: We requested a draft beer, but were told it wasn't available. Then, we were informed the draft machine itself was broken, and were pressured to purchase the smaller, more expensive bottled options. The waiter (who later became polite) eventually pushed us towards a specific Spanish bottle (Alhambra). This pushy approach regarding the drinks and the misleadi

Stopped in for a drink after walking Rainbow St and was thrilled by the hospitality, quality of cocktails and music. The there was a live DJ who was playing great house music, my wife’s cocktail recommendation was great and my gin drink was excellent. There also happened to be bingo going on in the outdoor space which was a nice activity while we decompressed from sightseeing. We didn’t get food but the dishes I saw looked very good

Macera is truly one of the most beautiful spots in town. The atmosphere is elegant, vibrant, and full of great energy. Every detail from the music to the ambiance creates such a memorable experience. The cocktails were absolutely outstanding — creative, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell a lot of care goes into every drink. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff were professional, attentive, welcoming, and made us feel genuinely looked after throughout the night. Cool spot with great interior design comfy seating but we couldn't get to sit by the patio, the weather was great to sit outdoors for 2 people, we asked if they could move the table outside since there was space but the manager said it wasn't possible. It was too hot inside -- although one of the air conditions was on, the doors being wide open didn't help fix the temperature. The food is great and the drinks plus the service, but I find it overpriced. Truffle popcorn is popular, skewers are light n tasty, medium. We could barely hear one another speak due to the extremely loud DJ right next to us, we asked if we could be seated further outside again to eliminate the noise or if they could lower the volume one notch so we can at least speak, but the manager insisted it was not possible. I recommend to train management to be better at problem solving and customer experience. The current manager was indifferent and rigid.
