I went with my family for the CNY reunion dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year 2026. I had booked the table much earlier n also requested for their signature set menu of RM 1688 per table. We were given the table number in the first banquet hall. There are a total of 4 large banquet halls in this huge restaurant. They had to shift our table a bit cos there was some air- cond water dripping down near our table. The whole banquet hall was completely filled up. Very good business. The food also came fast n still warm. No complaints about the food. Only the 2 types of desserts were not up to our expectations. Firstly, the deep fried rolls - we didn't like the cream filling inside. Some of us didn't quite like the fillings inside the mandarin oranges buns . On the whole all the main dishes were really yummy. Despite the full house, the chefs did not disappoint us with the quality n standard of the food served to us. It was a good n hearty reunion dinner . I would highly recommend this rest

We came here for a family dinner. It's been ages when we last dined here. So when we arrived there recently , we were all amazed by the renovation n extended part of the restaurant. Now the restaurant occupies the whole 5 th floor - with many large dining areas, I think about 3 large banquet halls. The whole place is well decorated with red n gold traditional Chinese lanterns. Taking the lift from the ground floor right up to the 5 th floor- once you are out of the lift , you will see the main entrance leading to the restaurant. The lobby before the restaurant is also large . It is surrounded on 3 sides by the extensive 3 banquet halls. This lobby is also decorated w CNY decorations such as red n gold traditional Chinese lanterns, good luck CNY stickers n posters . The 3 tables in this lobby are full of good luck miniatures n golden horses , smiling fortune cats n other paraphernalia. Menus are placed on the tables. Yesterday my nephew n his family gave us all a dinner treat at this restaurant. They came back to Kuala Lumpur from Sydney 3 weeks ago , staying at his father’s house . In between he took his family to visit North n South Vietnam for almost 14 days before coming back to KL. Yesterday evening he invited us to dinner as this morning their whole family took a MAS flight back to Sydney. We are really amazed by the newly renovated restaurant . It occupies the whole 5th floor building - it has extended n expanded. There are so many halls n rooms for dining g there. Plenty of place n space for huge n grand wedding dinners n other anniversary celebrations. Yesterday evening there was a large wedding dinner there. But the rest of the restaurant was not affected by the noise n the sounds of “ yam Seng “. Cos they close up that whole wedding reception place. So we could enjoy our dinner in peace . We had our mum's birthday lunch here with relatives and cousins. Mostly the dishes served met our expectations except for the fish maw which had an unpleasant taste... Our all time faves- Pan Fried Crystal Prawns n Grilled Spanish Iberico ribs. As for the braised Village chicken in rice wine..it would taste much much oomph...if the chef has been more generous with the rice wine and ginger strips.

Dined at Hee Loi Tan, PJ and had a pleasant meal. We ordered the steamed fish and the sweet and sour pork with dragon fruit, which was quite special and different from the usual version. The food was above average and satisfying, though not overly outstanding. What stood out was the service — the staff were very attentive, friendly, and efficient, making the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, a good place for a decent Chinese meal with reliable service.

It is a very old restaurant located in the building that was kind of like abandoned and not well maintained. Before heading to the restaurant, the walking in and heading up walk way will have alot of foreigners. Food wise is so so not exactly the best and hygiene is a questionable thing, please see properly esp the utensils 😅

Had a wonderful dining experience here! The dishes were all served fresh, flavourful, and in generous portions. The steamed fish was especially tender, and juicy. Other dishes like the tofu, stir-fried greens, and sweet & sour meat were also well-prepared. Everything tasted balanced and not overly salty or oily. The environment is comfortable, and the staff were attentive and friendly. They made sure our tea was always refilled and checked in on us pleasantly without being intrusive. Overall, truly a delightful meal with great value. Perfect for family gatherings or celebrations. We will definitely come back again!
