Just had Dutch apple pie at Winkel 43 in Amsterdam… and wow, this might be the best apple pie I’ve ever had. It doesn’t look fancy at all, in fact, it’s almost a bit plain. But the moment you cut into it and take that first bite, it completely takes over your senses. Warm cinnamon, raisins, and layers of sweetness that are rich but never overwhelming. The apples are the real star, soft, yet still with a gentle crunch. Love apple pie so wanted to try the viral apple pie from this place. There was a line to go in so waited 20 minutes. The apple pie was really good different from American apple pie. The crust tasted caky with a biscoff cookie taste. There was also quite a bit of apples inside the pie. Overall definitely worth the wait would recommend.
