We stumbled across this restaurant when going back to the carpark. The restaurant is located within the library and has a beautiful little shop attached to it too. We sat outside on the terraced which was quiet and away from the busy town centre. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had both had the Gouda pie - lovely. I also had a hot chocolate made with real chocolate which I would recommend. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we need.

In a library, this cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. We, as Indians, were surprised to find Darjeeling Tea, the finest Indian tea, on their menu in Gouda. We tried it and liked it a lot. The coffee and sweets were good too, and we loved the Coconut Cherry pastry. The atmosphere and service were also nice. I recommend this place.

A light and not too sweet cheesecake, a delicious latte with just the right amount of sweetness, a nutty and fluffy nutty pie, and a good espresso. The waitress is very nice.

Genius idea to have a nice restaurant (and gift shop!) inside the library. The staff is just splendid - very professional, very friendly, very courteous - and the hot chocolate is worth a visit all on its own. We’ve started coming here with our toddler so that one of us can work on the first floor of the library while the other takes her to play and read in the kid’s section. The Duplo wall and cozy, varied sitting places make for an inviting extended reading nook. A nice sit-down lunch or dinner together afterwards is just perfect. Worth the visit!
