This place was amazing, some of the best food I've tasted from any restaurant in Haarlem or Amsterdam. We had a variety of dishes and we cleaned the plates as everything was excellent. We had the tuna, octopus, and tartare for our starters. Main courses we had were the iberico ham, duck breast and the surf and turf. Staff were really good and great service. For a Wednesday night the place was buzzing. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion and probably should book a table.

The main course, which was the catch of the day (bream), was fantastic. I liked the garnishing and the wonderful mix of flavours and colours. The oysters were fresh and tasty. I was slightly disappointed by the dessert. Advertised as a raspberry cake, it lacked both the raspberry taste and the tanginess typical of the fruit. I believe this was an exception, and the other desserts probably match the exquisiteness of my main course. I’d been wanting to try this place for a long time. We came with a reservation for a friend’s birthday, and the staff were extremely kind and attentive, which made the evening feel special. Food-wise, my salmon dish was good and I was happy with it. However, friends who ordered meat and else were less impressed — portions felt small and the flavors were a bit average. The desserts were a highlight, though. Overall: great service and ambiance, but the food was a mix of hits and misses.
