This is a well known restaurant in Nijmegen. Parking is impossible as everywhere in the city center but a large parking garage can be found in walking distance on the others side of Keizer Karel plein. The atmosphere is bar/cafe like. The food is very good. As a starter I had the ossenhaas carpaccio. Good taste, well presented. As a main I had beef van de chef. Not quite my taste but still very good and again well presented. The prices are pretty decent. Staff very friendly and nice.

Food was alright and slightly overpriced. We had the fish special and the veal ribeye. Medium rare Steak was slightly overcooked but still tasty so we didn’t mention it. Now we were too full and we decided to take the ribeye to-go to enjoy it tomorrow at home. The young blond waiter took the ribeye steak and the side dishes (potato and leek) from our table to pack it up in a doggy bag. He came back and said the dishwasher threw our steak away by accident and only we had the potato and leek as takeout. They told us this after we paid and left a tip…. We had a retirement party for a group of 12 people here. When arrived there were two table instead of one. We asked to make it one and seemed not possible, but the owner was very kind and accepted our weird T shape suggestion and even it was a bit difficult for the personal to move. This had a good impression on me. Food was absolutely fantastic. I think the pictures say it all. I asked for a very well done entrecote and they made it to my taste. I was super happy, and my colleagues had medium rare also very good and no blood coming out. I will go again.

No reservation possible, we had to wait a hour at the bar but it was worth it. Simplistic kitchen for steak and fish. Super friendly service.
