“We had a wonderful experience at this Omani restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and gave us a great taste of authentic Omani cuisine. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Supun was amazing and so kind. The whole atmosphere was warm and beautifully traditional.”
“A bit pricey if you compare it by Oman standard, but the food is so good. The view is a bit obstructed due to the cruise ship but it's still offer a great spot to do people watching. It's been my favourite restaurant in Muscat since a decade ago. Service is excellent as well.”

Florian Forster★★★★★Honestly the best restaurant in the area, recommended by my local friend for a range of authentic dishes. Visited twice in the end. All food top notch. By accident I ordered harees (ayres) in the local dialect. I normally hate it but it was actually really good here. Also vegetable (potentially vegan) dishes available. Fava beans or the coconut spinach are great mains to try, flavourful and light. Completely over ordered, maybe 30-40 OMR for two. Staff very friendly and attentive, dates and coffee (with a bit of rose water) on the house.

Joe Yang★★★★★First time at Bait Al Luban—and what a lovely experience! The moment I walked in, I felt like I was stepping into a cozy part of Oman’s cultural heritage. The interiors are beautifully done with traditional seating, colorful fabrics, lanterns, and even artifacts like the khanjar displayed in the table. The food was hearty and flavorful—perfect for a comforting dinner. I loved the lamb shuwa with rice, and the rich stew with yellow rice was another favorite. The crispy fritters and green chutney were a great way to start. And don’t miss the fresh dates served in that elegant silver bowl—such a nice touch with frankincense in water for the welcome drink. It’s a great spot to experience real Omani hospitality and cuisine, especially if it’s your first visit to Muscat or just your first time trying authentic local flavors. I’ll definitely be back!
Cédric Martin★★★★★Located at the end of the beautiful Corniche, very close to the Fish roundabout and just a few hundred meters away from the the souk, this restaurant is a must go if you're in Muscat. It offers a good service, high quality food and allows you to discover the local omani cuisine. We've tried the lobster and the traditional lamb recipe from Oman, both were excellent. Oh, and the thin bread they serve there is absolutely to die for!
KANZUL HAQ THURUTHI★★★★Visited Bait Al Luban Omani Restaurant today with the intention of trying their traditional Omani dishes. Unfortunately, I was not able to dine in as they required a prior reservation. It was a bit disappointing after coming all the way, but the place looked very popular and well organized, which explains the booking system. I would recommend booking in advance before visiting. Hopefully next time I’ll get to enjoy their authentic Omani food experience.
Mazin Al-Mahruqi★★★★★Bait Al Luban embodies Omani tradition in a restored heritage house on Muttrah Corniche, with low majlis seating, woven carpets, and frankincense aromas evoking ancient hospitality. Traditional Delights Savor shuwa—lamb slow-cooked underground in palm leaves—alongside katchori patties, mahrage bean curry, and complimentary dates, coffee, and luban-infused water. Authentic flavors shine in generous, spice-balanced portions. Warm service and sea views make it a cultural gem. 5/5 stars!
Nadya★★★★★I visited Bait Al Luban Omani Restaurant today and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that really stood out. The restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. The staff were attentive, alert, and highly professional throughout our visit. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy great Omani cuisine.
