Visited the restaurant /cafe twice... Once with my friend and the second was with my family...we love the pasta and also the coffee +cakes... Place is well maintained, the lighting and the cleanliness is 💪. The staff were really trained for customer service. Toilets are clean too, there is pwd toilet too. High ceiling and the waiting area let you see some of its history. There are different kind of payment options and discounts for senior citizen is honored.

One of our favorite lunch restaurants in Binondo. For this visit, we ordered the Crystal Prawn Dumplings, Truffle Pasta, Crispy Pork Belly, Thai Beef Salad, Salt and Pepper Squid, Taro Cloud Roll, Houseblend Iced Tea, Muscovado Coffee. This is our go to order and of course, everything was tasty and delicious. Can't wait to go back when we tour our visitor friends in Manila. Service is very good!

Ate here based on reviews. My first & favorite meal in Manila. Went to flexitarian mode as it looked tastier compared to the vegetarian options. It was worth it. The vegetarian salad was fresh although the sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. The vegetarian soup was excellent. The salmon was decent but cooked about one minute too long making it a bit dry. The vegetarian cheesecake was rich and not as sweet as the dressing on the salad. The small slice was sufficient, any larger would be too much for this 3 course meal. The service was quite nice at the beginning but then I had to ask for assistance. The atmosphere was brilliant chill with nice quiet jazz in the background. If I were to return to Manila, I would choose the same hotel as it's walking distance to this excellent restaurant.

Bangsilog - fried to a crisp golden brown without being overly greasy, the meat is tender and flaky, and the belly stays soft. Although there is a good balance of tang and savory depth, the taste of the fish isn’t coming through. In effect, the marinade carried the flavor instead of the fish. Iced americano - it retains the smooth and crisp taste of the roast, and it’s not overly bitter considering that it’s 2 shots of espresso in a small glass. The crema and ice both survives the mix, which is good. Tip: if you want iced americano, you need to insist on it as the breakfast already comes with unlimited brewed coffee, which they will offer first. Note: Nice, upscale, ambience. More restaurant vibes than cafe. Surprisingly affordable for the fancy setting.

I can not share the critical reviews. The 1919 is a top restaurant in Manila. The staff is very friendly and professional, the ambiance is historically amazing and also very beautiful. We had the sampler plate, this one is easy good for 4. It is made for 3, but easy to share for 4. So we had rips, shrimps, salmon, sausage (you can even order mustard!!!), chicken, corn... Everything was cooked at the point, well spiced. Two thumbs up for the 1919. And you get another goodie for free! Outside: dirty, dusty, hot, debris... Manila. Opening the door, and you enter a Cafe in Paris or Prague, one step from the boardwalk away.

Contrary to what I’ve read on some several reviews, their food actually tastes good. We had our 14th anniversary dinner here (Feb 14, 2026), and despite not having a reservation and having to wait for some time to be seated, we were still accommodated. My only comment is that the lady who welcomed the guests by the entrance during that time be more approachable and friendlier. How she interacted with me really dampened my mood. I understand that she may have had a long day, but I can feel the unfriendliness. That’s the main reason why I’m giving service a 3-star rating. Thankfully, their meals saved the night. I especially loved their caramel frappe. It tastes better than SB, in my opinion. If given a chance, I’ll come back and eat here again.

Was nice to end the food crawl at this awesome place. The vibe felt clean while they maintained the vintage feel of the place. They had a receiving area where we comfortably waited to be seated. We just had cakes and coffee, and for sure would recommend trying the Taro Cloud Roll. It's for when you're looking for something light and fresh, and the texture was heavenly soft. Quite nice to pair it with the hot Caramel Macchiatto I had. Can't wait to visit again!

I loved my visit here! Walk-in is available and we even visited during Valentines. The waiting time is not that long naman. They will guide you where you can seat. The foods are good. I loved their Caesar salad and Margherita pizza. There is also a service fee. Since it was holiday when we visited, we get that it was packed but it was hard to ask that we are going to order or when we asked for the bill since for some reason they don’t notice us T—T Anyway, would visit again!
